The Devil’s Swing explores the culture and history of the La Junta de los Rios region of the Texas-Mexico border. High above where the Rio Conchos joins the Rio Grande, people in this film say the devil has mounted a swing, from which he can affect everything, revealing himself through seemingly unrelated worlds — sacred rituals, corridos, druglords, Pancho Villa, and the tragic killing of 19-year-old boy. The film was shown at the 2010 SXSW Film Festival.
